In case of a backyard you can also paint your fence in a bright color to liven up the area. Hanging planters in colorful pots is a great enhancer for terraces. You can also play with paver titles in different hues or create a pattern and enhance the floor area.
Another easy way to change the look of your backyard is to add some inexpensive lighting to the mix.
